My in-laws were up in Camden about a month ago and went out on a fabulous sunset cruise. Mother-in-law came off the boat and saw a table filled with cute necklaces and bracelets by, Pea Pods Fashion, located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

Look at these fashionable, cute and very reasonably priced jewels. I love that she carries Lilly like prints, preppy plaid and whimsical flowers.  Remember, Christmas is right around the corner and wouldn't some one you know and love, enjoy receiving something as cute at this.

Okay, as I mentioned in my previous blog below I would be attempting to make the Pottery Barn like wreaths (using different colored balls). Well, here they are,


What do you think? I have to say this was a very tedious project that I don't think I will attempt to try any time soon. I'll just resort to buying the dang wreaths (yet, $80 a pop for 10 wreaths is not something I want to spend money on). But I did save a lot of $$$. I probably spent about $58 total for the colored, shatter proof balls and wire. I already had the 10 wreaths from last year.

Tomorrow my mother-in-law and I will be making preparations for Turkey Day!!! I'm hosting it this year and so excited to have every one at my house.

Christmas time

I know, I know, Thanksgiving hasn't even passed yet. But I'm so excited to decorate my house again this year for Christmas. I've got some ideas up my sleeve. Some additions and changes to last years decor and some that well, will just stay the same. Also, I've got some fun finds from Etsy to share with you all. Hope you like what you see.

For two yrs now I've been placing green wreaths hung with red ribbon from each window on the front of my house. After I came across the beautiful wreaths that Pottery Barn displayed in their magazine I knew what I was going to do for my decor this year. Instead of purchasing 6 wreaths at $80 a pop. I figured I could easily purchase several boxes of shatterproof red and silver balls myself and add them to the wreaths I already have. Here's there's:

Secondly, I found these very preppy tartan print bowls with gold trim pedestals at this local store that sells overstock items for only $1.99 each! Are they just adorable. Love them. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to fill them with yet. Any suggestions?

I follow several blogs and always come upon one or two that mention Etsy finds. I've ordered some art pieces in the past but never anything else. Well, my friends I think that's about to change. Lately, they've been showing a lot of those "bib" necklaces all over the fashion magazines. I have to say, I really love the look. So, I went on Etsy to do a search of "bib" necklaces. You wouldn't believe some of the fabulous pieces that I found, will be ordering, wearing, giving as gifts. Go on Etsy and type in "bib necklaces" in the search box. We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave

It's a lovely 70 degrees up North and I'm loving it. I wish I wasn't feeling a bit under the weather. After two weeks of caring for Little Prep, I've finally caught his cold and feeling oh so, yucky. My head feels like it's going to explode, my throat is scratchy and tickles and I just want to lie in bed all day. But I can't, must enjoy this last warm day (tomorrow it's supposed to drop down to 50 normal for this are and this time of the year) that we will have until May! So, Little Prep and I are going to take a walk to the park. Let's hope a little fresh air will do me some good. Hope you are enjoying your day and weather where ever you are!
